As a valued elected leader and official that is focused on shared prosperity that reaches all Americans, revitalizes our metropolitan centers, and boosts our nation's economic competitiveness with strong ties to Mexico, Miguel brings an invaluable government network, mentality and cultural experience to GSI.
California
First elected to the Santa Ana City Council in 1986, Mayor Miguel Pulido served until December 2020. During his time in public service he was a major force in the renaissance and economic revitalization of the City. Mayor Pulido focused his efforts on improving the quality of life for all Santa Ana residents. During his tenure, the City experienced a 58% reduction in crime, an increase in home values, a rise in the number of business licenses, an enhancement of the economic opportunities for the private sector, an overall revitalization of the City’s infrastructure, and an expansion in social and culture venues.
Under Mayor Pulido’s leadership, the City of Santa Ana benefited from a tremendous growth in economic opportunities. As a result of his advocacy efforts, the City of Santa Ana was designated an Enterprise Zone by the State of California in 1993 to promote business growth and job generation by offering state tax credits and highly valuable incentives to businesses.
More importantly, Mayor Pulido secured Federal Empowerment Zone status for some of the City’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods, delivering federal funds to build capital, increase employment and to provide needed services to these residents. Mayor Pulido was appointed to serve on the State of California Workforce Investment Board to further employment opportunities, and job services for our residents. He was also appointed by both Governor Davis and Governor Schwarzenegger to serve on the State Teacher’s Retirement Board.
In 2003 Governor Davis, and Governor Schwarzenegger appointed the Mayor to the California State Teacher’s Retirement System Board. He is also a board member of the Fullerton Community Bank, Great Park Corporation, Pacific Symphony, Discovery Science Center, the UCI Foundation, and the Bowers Museum President’s Advisory Council.
Mayor Miguel Pulido was born in Mexico City in 1956. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.
He and his wife, Laura, are the proud parents of two sons, Miguel Robert and David Andrew; and a daughter Isabel Soledad.
Roberts extensive knowledge and success as a professional athlete with vast post career achievements provides invaluable contribution to GSI. We are honored to have Robert as a member of our team.
1994-2008
Robert Griffith, a 6'0" 200 lb. hard hitting 2x ALL PRO safety, record holder, and legendary for the Purple, played for the Minnesota Vikings from 1994 to 2001. Praised for his exceptional hitting ability, Minnesota rewarded Griffith's hard work with a starting lineup position as a strong safety. In 1998, Griffith was selected to the John Madden All-Pro Team as well as being selected as first alternate to the Pro Bowl team. He played three seasons with the Cleveland Browns, and two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.
Griffith has earned honorable mentions for the NFLPA's Unsung Hero Award, NFL's Ed Block Courage Award, NFL Special Effort Award, Minnesota Vikings Community Man of the Year Award, and nominated for the Byron "Whizzer" White Humanitarian Award (the NFLPA most prestigious award).
Griffith also served as an Executive Member of the NFLPA (National Football League Player's Association) for six years. The National Football League Players Association is the union for professional football players in the National Football League.
He has since appeared as a guest analyst for Fox Sports, Best Damn Sports Show, NFL Network’s Total Access and hosted an ESPN show entitled "Game Night" in 2004. He has appeared in regional commercial campaigns with Sun Country Airlines, Sprint, Giant Grocery chain, Applebee's, and a milk mustache campaign with the Dairy Farmers Association.
In 1998, he founded the Robert Griffith Foundation. The Robert Griffith Foundation provides college scholarships to underprivileged high school seniors. RGF has graduates from colleges across the U.S. RGF also provides a comprehensive array of youth development programs to empower its participants, including mentoring, educational enrichment, organized sports and arts, as well as cultural initiatives. Although the Foundation’s programming serves a broad base of youth, its target population for scholarships is at-risk and economically disadvantaged teens between the ages of 13-18 years old.
Robert Griffith continues to prove himself a winner both on and off the field. Throughout the season, he works tirelessly with several charitable organizations.
Robert Griffith was born in Lanham, Maryland. He holds a B.S. in Electric Engineering from San Diego University in 1994, and an Executive Education Program in Entrepreneurship and Business Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business
Griffith resides in Southern California. An avid cyclist, he is also well-traveled and has spent much time in the Americas and Europe for both business and pleasure.
At GSI, we are thankful and confident that Francisco will help create a focused, sustainable plan, while remaining open to diverse opportunities, that will be able to make significant impact.

Francisco de Borbon, (born January 21, 1979) is a businessman and entrepreneur, and has been involved in banking, real estate, philanthropy and other commercial activities.
He has worked as a manager and sports director of various sports entities and acquired the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) agent title in 2005, becoming the youngest FIFA agent at that time.
Francisco has been the founder and principal partner in various corporate trading companies. In 2012, he cofounded and has been managing partner of Alpha Trading, a U.S. based company in the fields of precious metals, oil and gas. In 2016, he was appointed managing partner of Neftan Co, a global financing vehicle specializing in trading and logistics. He is also a partner and board member of Aeris Trading LLC, New York City, a publicly traded company with copper mine assets.
Since 2012, he has been a member of the Young Global Leaders G8 organization and received the Laurel Platinum award in September 2014 for businessman of the year in Spain. The Young Global Leaders (YGL) Community is an accelerator for a dynamic community of exceptional people with the vision, courage, and influence to drive positive change in the world. As a group of over 600+ professionals across over 90 countries worldwide, YGL Alumni are engaged in activities that aim to improve the state of the world. They are CEO's of Fortune 500 corporations, in royal houses, in leading NGO's and national non-profits, public figures in civil society, sports personalities, and more.
As a member of the Spanish branch of the House of Borbon and a relative of King Felipe VI (H.R.H. Felipe Juan Pablo Alfonso de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Grecia) of Spain. Enjoying deep roots and history into many European family dynasties, Fransisco is passionate about philanthropy, with a desire to “do something” into purposeful and strategic social economic development. His mindset is governed by the principle of Turning Passion Into Impact.
Francisco is the cochairman of Pvblic foundation’s Latin Impact Summit with the United Nations (UN). This annual summit is a movement of more than 200 regional leaders creating alliances to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in the Americas.
A longtime member of the Order of Saint Lazarus, Francisco was appointed Coadjutor and member of the Grand Magistral Council in June 2009. In August 2017, he became Interim Grand Master of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem. He was elected and installed as the 50th Grand Master of the Order at the Chapter General in Madrid on May 05, 2018. The Order of Saint Lazarus (“the Order”) is one of the most ancient of the European orders of chivalry, dating back to the time of the Crusader knights. From its foundation in the 12th century, the members of the Order have been dedicated to two ideals: aid to those suffering from disease of leprosy and the defense of the Christian faith. The Grand Priory’s responsibilities extend throughout the United States and Mexico.
Fransisco was born in Madrid, Spain and is the son of Francisco de Paula Enrique de Borbon y Escasany, 5th Duque of Seville, Spain and Princess Beatrice Grafin von Hardenberg Furstenberg.
Francisco de Borbon holds a Cum Lade of Sports Management and Business degree from Barry University, Miami, Florida in 2001.
As an entrepreneur and public speaker with two decades of experience, most notably Lycos (sold for $7.6 billion), he is a recent director of Newegg.com and RevolutionSports, Inc. Bill brings instrumental management skills from a variety of industries and foundations, tech-media, and initial public offerings to GSI.
2015-
Bill Townsend is a former founder and/or senior manager of global technologies behind Lycos, GeoCities, RevolutionSports, deja.com, and sixdegrees.com.
He serves on the Board of Director of Newegg (a $2.8 billion, #2 largest pure-play e-commerce company in America (behind Amazon.com), which operates e-commerce portals for IT and Consumer Electronics goods, as well as Marketplaces, in the United States, China, Taiwan and Canada).
He is currently Chairman of Amati Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit music education charity; President and CEO of TRICCAR Holdings, Inc. and TRICCAR, Inc., a bioceutical research, development, and marketing firm; and President and CEO of Colonies Corporation, a digital communications and media platform.
In his role at Colonies Corporation, he works with multiple sports industries, including, but not limited to the National Football League, Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, combat sports including mixed martial arts, professional wrestling, National Basketball Association, eSports, and corresponding sports leagues worldwide. Colonies Corporation is a partner in a sportsbook and digital wagering platform that facilitates wagering on sports, casino-style games, and videogames.
Townsend was a cofounder of sports marketing firm Corvosi, which represents clients Rahal Letterman Racing, Michael Jordan Motorsports, Carey Hart and Suzuki.
He was formerly Executive Vice President, Office of the CEO at biometric authentication, payment and loyalty firm, Pay By Touch and a partner at strategic consulting and incubation firm Interminds.
Townsend was the 1992 Republican candidate for United States Congress in Pennsylvania's 20th Congressional District, and he was the 2018 Republican candidate for the United States Congress in Nevada's 4th Congressional District.
Bill Townsend lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sergio creates opportunities in global development and policy work behind structuring Public Private Partnerships (PPP) that has embraced social change for more than fifteen (15) years.

Sergio Fernandez de Cordova is a strategist, public speaker, lobbyist, entrepreneur and the co-founder and visionary behind P3 Global Management (“P3GM”) and the PVBLIC Foundation.
Sergio currently leads the P3GM global development and policy work behind structuring Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) around smart infrastructure with local, state and federal governments.
Sergio was the co-founder of FUEL Outdoor Holdings in 2003. As managing partner he ran Government Affairs, Real Estate and Legal, building FUEL to be one of the fastest growing, top three (3) largest, privately owned companies in the industry. He sold the company to the $31 billion+ global institutional asset management firm Och-Ziff in 2011. Och-Ziff successfully sold the company to Van Wagner Communications in November of 2012; which subsequently sold to CBS, now OutFront.
As acting Chairman of PVBLIC he leads the Foundation’s engagement with the United States White House, the United Nations and hosts the Media for Social Impact Summit in partnership with UNOP.
Sergio was recently honored with the ‘Global Social Impact’ Award at the United Nations (U.N.) Humanitarian Innovation Forum.
Sergio is an official delegate of the U.S. State Department's entrepreneurship program and a member of the Global Entrepreneurs Council at the United Nations.
Sergio was named by Dell as one of its #Inspired 100 leading global influencers in entrepreneurship, using technology to empower and inspire others. United Nations representative for AIESEC International.
He currently sits on the board of or is advisor to more than ten (10) media related companies, such as ; United Nations Strategic Development Goals (SDG)-Fund the U.N. SDG private advisory board, AllCot Group, BitFury, UN-ECE, ToolBox, MAP – Millennial Action Project, UNFoundation, ForeSight Group, Dell, SBA, NYGLD, WireLawyer, NGO-CSD, Availor & the Resolution Project.
He is Chairman of the World Energy Forum's Next Generation Energy Leaders, and has previously served as Chairman of the G8 Young Summit, National Co-Chairman for Technology for former U.S. President Barack Obama, and a member of the Council of Underserved Communities for the US Small Business Administration, and he is Co-Chairman of the Young Leaders Board for the Global Center for Development and Democracy; a group made up of 20 past Presidents of Latin America.
Sergio Fernandez de Cordova lives in New York City, New York.
