If we fail our children, we fail; we are bound to fail our present and our future.

Simply put, empowerment means guiding our children in a manner that encourages their own beliefs in their own abilities and potential for positive growth.

Last year, United Nation's Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) announced that the economic crisis generated by COVID-19 threatened to hit children and families the hardest. Stating in a report that the number of children living in multidimensional poverty – without access to education, health, housing, nutrition, sanitation or water – may soar to approximately 1.2 billion, while an additional 142 million children are expected to fall into monetary poverty in 2020 alone.

The lack of opportunities for disadvantaged children combined with the challenges of COVID-19 will impact education as well as athletics. With little or no outlets within sports in sight, an education that is not meeting the needs of millions of students, and little hope for the future, frustrations from teenagers and young adults could affect society in unimaginable ways - creating impossible odds and challenges that will become more difficult to correct as time goes on. 

Before the COVID-19 crisis, the monthly child poverty rate was 18.7% according to researchers' estimates. They found that the elevated trend of children living in poverty continued during the pandemic, with the child poverty rate exceeding 20% by end of 2020, exacerbating our nation’s greatest moral disgrace: child poverty. 

President Joe Biden has proposed to increase the $2,000 child tax credit and expand it to more families in order to cut child poverty by half. Experts say the analyses undergirding President Biden’s assertion are credible. It is worth noting that the decline in child poverty would only last for 1-year under the current proposal, and that there are always reasons for uncertainty when evaluating the effects of policy changes.  

The GSI is committed to doing its part. Our unique, innovative funding model redefines how proceeds derived through the U.S.E-2 non-immigrant investor visa program can be utilized. By rolling these funds into a greater development program, we are indirectly benefiting from these funds in a way never attempted previously. Our unique program will allow for a much broader and greater social economic impact, ideal for funding and building complex sporting developments. 

The 2030 United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development underlines the growing contribution of sports as a tool for peace in its promotion of tolerance and respect. It also highlights the contributions that sports can make to the empowerment of communities as a whole - to individuals (particularly women and young people) and, as well as to health, education and social inclusion.

A key component of the GSI is identifying hundreds of global revenue models from hosting and delivering sports, and incorporating these into the most comprehensive 'all-in-one’ and commercially viable business platform ever built.
